Salt Lake County at a Glance: Where Should You Live?

Salt Lake County at a Glance: Where Should You Live? — Petersen Home Group

Salt Lake County is the busiest part of the Wasatch Front, but it doesn’t feel like one big city. It’s a string of very different places, and where you land changes your daily life.

Three ways to think about it

  • The city core. Salt Lake City neighborhoods like Sugar House and The Avenues are walkable and full of older homes with character, and they’re close to the airport.
  • The east bench. Places like Sandy and Cottonwood Heights sit at the mouths of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. If skiing is a weekly habit, this is your side of the valley.
  • The growing west and south. West Jordan, South Jordan and the surrounding area offer newer homes, bigger floor plans and quick access to Mountain View Corridor.

Quick tips

  • Map your commute at rush hour, not on a Sunday.
  • TRAX and FrontRunner can save you a parking bill if you work downtown.
  • East-side and west-side homes can price very differently for similar square footage.

Not sure which side fits? Start with your must-haves and we’ll help you match them to a neighborhood.

Meet Kaitlyn:

Originally from Houston, Texas, we decided to move to Utah to be closer to the mountains and lead a more outdoor lifestyle for our two daughters. My husband and I are Geologists and enjoy traveling and hiking together.

After being a Geologist, teacher, and then a stay-at-home mom, I decided to pursue real estate as a career. We chose to live in Ogden because of the small-town feel, family-friendly amenities, and the hiking and biking trails right in our backyard.

As a full-time hyperlocal agent, I can help you navigate specific neighborhoods.

As the co-chair of the community outreach committee at the Board of Realtors, I am dedicated to making a positive impact in my community. I actively contribute by assisting individuals in finding affordable housing, supporting homeless shelters through donations, and organizing fundraising initiatives for our non-profit organization, Have A Heart Home. Our ultimate goal is to provide a home for a deserving family in need on an annual basis.

I have a wealth of experience helping clients relocate to and from the Ogden area, and have a deep understanding of the local real estate market.

If you are considering a move to Ogden or are looking to relocate to a new area, I can help make the process smooth and stress-free. As a relocation specialist, I am here to provide you with personalized, comprehensive support to ensure that your move goes smoothly.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home, I am here to guide you through the process and help you find the perfect property. I am committed to providing my clients with exceptional service and will work tirelessly to ensure that you find a home that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.

I donate time and portions of my earnings to local agencies that help our community prosper. I advocate and support lobbying for affordable housing and homeowner rights. e-PRO®: Specially certified in safeguarding your private information before, during, & after transactions

Why Listing with Kaitlyn is Different:

I have an 8-week marketing plan. Most agents do not have a plan past one weekend of open houses.

I provide my clients with data-driven marketing. If a house does not sell in the first week, I have a plan that includes 5 steps before reducing the price of the home.

I will actively communicate with you through every step of the process. Diligently sharing feedback from showings following up with buyer’s agents after viewing the home, and calling weekly to discuss the progress from the previous week.
